This range of fabrics has been produced by Robert Kaufman in the style of Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt. Klimt was heavily influenced by Japanese art and its methods.
One of his most famous images is that of Adele Boch-Bauer which is reproduced in the SRKM-17179-133 Gold Panel. The original painting was looted by the Nazi’s during the second world war before being returned to the family in 2006 and subsequently sold for $135 million.
